Mae Gullfoss ("Rhaeadrau Aur"; Ynghylch y sain hon Icelandic pronunciation (help·info)) yn rhaeadrau wedi ei lleoli mewn canyon ar yr afon Hvítá yn ne orllewin Gwlad yr Iâ.


Gullfoss yw un o atyiadau twristaidd mwyaf poblogaidd Gwlad yr Iâ. Mae'n rhan o gylchdaith enwog y 'Golden Ring' syn cynnwys y Þingvellir a geyser Haukadalur sy'n boblogaidd gyda thwristiaid.


Mae'r afon Hvítá lydan yn rhuthro i'r de a, tua cilomedr cyn y rhaeadr ystumio'n dynn i'r dde gan lifo lawr bwa tair-gris cyn cwympo'n sydyn mewn dau gymal (11 metr neu 36 feet, a 21 metr neu 69 feet) mewn i hollt 32 metr (105 ft) o ddyfnder. Mae'r hollt oddeutu 20 metr (66 ft) o led a 2.5 kilometr (1.6 mi) o hyd. Yn ystod hanner cyntaf 20g ac am rai blynyddoedd yn hwyr yn yr 20g bu sôn am ddefnyddio Gullfoss er mwyn cynhyrchu trydan. Ond methiant bu hyn, yn rannol oherwydd diffyg arian. Gwerthwyd y rhaeadr maes o law i wladwriaeth Gwlad yr Iâ. Mae bellach wedi ei warchod.


Roedd Sigríður Tómasdóttir, merch un o berchnogion Gullfoss, Tómas Tómasson, yn benderfynnol o gadw'r rhaeadr, er iddi fygwth daflu ei hun mewn iddo fel hunanladdiad. Er bod nifer yn dal i gredu mai Sigríður achubodd y rhaeadr i'w warchod, dydy'r stori ddim yn wir. Ond mae cofeb carreg iddi uwchlaw'r rhaeadr sy'n dangos ei proffil.[1]
