Kuvar on infot nähtavaks tegev seade (nt lauaarvuti väljundseadmena) või seadis (nt ekraan teleril, süle- ja tahvelarvutil, nutitelefonil).


Kuvari sünonüümina on kasutusel inglise keelest laenatud displei (display), mida aga ÕS ei soovita.[1] Arvutikuvarit nimetatakse ka monitoriks, videoterminaliks, ekraaniks, konsooliks.


Levinuim kuvarite ja ekraanide tehnoloogia on 21. saj algul LCD, perspektiivne on OLED.


Väikest kuvarit, mis näitab seadme olekuid ja parameetreid (numbritega, tekstiga, ka liikumatu pildiga), nimetatakse enamasti näidikuks. Nende näiduelemendid põhinevad LCD- või LED-tehnoloogial.


Suurt, kaugele nähtavat infokuvarit nimetatakse tablooks. Neis kasutatakse peamiselt LED-ekraane.
